Caption title (barely legible): [Laudate pueri à] Canto solo con Istromti Del [...]rica [...].
This source appears to have the same origins as Mus. 2389-E-1 and Mus. 2389-E-2. See III/V/4/9-10.
Michael Talbot (email 18.4.2009) advises that this source, RV 601, seems to have been written specifically for Dresden: ‘the copy by Vivaldi's father in Dresden appears to have been made from the autograph score today in Turin’.
In the later ‘Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa ...’ (c1784) score only is listed for ‘Laudate pueri’ by Vivaldi (III/V/ 6/20). The scoring is given as: ‘à Soprano Solo co’ VV.ni Viola ed Org.’
Vivaldi’s three solo settings for soprano held by SLUB are discussed by Michael Talbot in The Sacred Vocal Music of Antonio Vivaldi. On RV 601 see 268–74 (especially).
