Between 1666 and 1680 Paul Sepp was a vocalist (altist) in the first chorus of the Dresden Hofkapelle. See Fürstenau (I), 254, and Eitner, 9/142. In his Commonplace Book, Johann Sigismund Cousser listed one Beatus vir setting by ‘Sepp’ for four voices, a cappella, as being held by Emanuel Benisch senior, organist (between 1695 and 1725) of the Dresden Kreuzkirche.
